We have previously shown like Cisco, H3C, Huawei, these mainstream host brands how to read access to the switch port optical module information, and the Fortinet use the command and the mainstream switch commands are completely different; then how to Fortinet switch in the use of the process to view the optical module working status and internal information?
The following is an example of accessing the FORTINET FS-108D-POE switch with a Moduletek SFP-GE-SX optical module to show you the specific operation of reading the information of the accessed optical module on the FETA switch.
1. Status of the optical module
Execute the command "get switch physical-port " to view the interface information;
The information output under this command includes the interface rate, duplex mode, and module link status (link-status up is a prerequisite for the optical module to work).
2. Switch module identification
Execute the command "get switch modules detail" to view the identification information of optical modules on the interface of the device;
The information output under this command contains module type, package, transmission distance, serial number, vendor information, etc., which is derived from the coded data written by the optical module.
3. optical module DDM data
Execute the command "get switch modules status" to view the DDM information of the optical module on the device interface;
The information output under this command includes real-time data diagnosis and threshold alarms. By paying attention to the received optical power, transmitted optical power, temperature value, current value and so on, it is possible to check whether the working status of the optical modules on both ends of the equipment is normal.
